Christmas tree decorating at the Westlake’s…
This morning my dad and sister opened up all the chests of Christmas ornaments. They set up the tree in the living room and they put the lights on it. Then they spent all day long in the living room, with the ornaments and the tree, yet there is only one ornament on the tree…
The ornaments are over flowing off the couch, and the table. They’re lined up on the window sill and scattered across the floor, but they are not on the tree after a full day. Rather than decorating the tree, my dad and Sierra spent the day sorting and labeling ornaments. This is the first year that my brother Nathan will have his own Christmas tree in his own house because he and Camille just got married and bought a house this year. That means that all of the ornaments my dad has saved up over the years must be divided up between Nathan, Sierra and I.
I’m unsure whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing that I missed out on the day full of sorting. Supposedly Sierra was picking out which ornaments I would have wanted. Except that she admits she always picked out her favorite one for herself first. Nathan missed out too, but my dad was picking out ornaments for him. After selection each ornament is labeled with a little metal “N”, “A”, or “S” tag that my dad made hundreds of so there will be no dispute later about whose is whose.
I’m being called back to the living room to do some picking and choosing for myself now so I’d better go!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

haha that’s great! I hope you get to have some of your favorites! Merry Christmas!
They look real pretty and that there is enough for others.
Can we come over and choose some????
